Storyboard Time

Image
Slide one: Using a high angle shot, we will see our actor looking down at their test that they failed. Defeated they put their head down on top of their paper.  Slide two: The next scene the actor begins to fall asleep. They are still on top of their failed test. We will zoom in on their head as they fall asleep. Slide three: The next scene the actor wakes up in their dream. They look down and using a point of view shot they see that they have an A on their test. They look visibly excited and happy. They get up and walk out of view.  Slide four: The next scene we can see the actor happy and getting ready to leave the house. Using a tracking shot, we can see them leave the house. Slide five: In this scene we can see the actor joining her group of friends. They are all excited and having fun. We can see this on their expressions using a medium close up. Slide six: We can see the group walking to the beach with tracking shots. Once they get there they are walking around and having fun.

Music Video Research!

Our group is doing the song Best Day Of My Life. The genre of this song is pop rock. The band American Authors wrote this song, and they tend to do more pop rock and indie alternative songs.  We notice tracking shots in many pop music videos, allowing the viewer to follow alongside the main actors In the Best Day Of My Life music video, there are lots of close up shots to show the actors happiness and other emotions Jump cuts are used to switch between two different scenes depending on what the lyrics are saying They wear elaborate costumes, usually fit to follow along with the story being portrayed in the video.  During sadder or more dull moments the video uses dim lighting and the actors have low energy In the happier moments we can see sunlight and brighter colors, along with visible happiness in the actors as well. Out of all of the videos we watched, all of the videos told the story pertaining to the lyrics In pop videos, the actors are usually dancing. The dances can be choreo

Time to Plan!

Props We are going to use a paper to act as a test that we failed. We also are going to have ice cream that we eat towards the end of the video, to show a mood change. Costumes In our music video, our actors are going to be wearing normal day clothes. Since we will be filming at the beach, shorts will most likely be worn. Our actors will also be wearing t-shirts or tank tops.  Schedule On 11/12, we began to research other music videos from the same genre and song. On 11/16, we started to plan for our video. We established costumes, props and the location. We also made a backup plan. On 11/19, we will create our storyboard for the music video. On 11/29 through 12/10, we will film and edit our music video. On 12/13, we will have our final music video completed.  Location We plan on filming the music video at the beach and in a house. The beginning of the video will be filmed in a living room. The rest will be filmed at different parts of the beach as well. Some parts of the video may b

About my group

Image
The group I chose to work with for the music is the same as the previous commercial project. Maria Kohel, Parker Merrick and myself. We worked very well together. The initial thought of who would take up what roles did surprise me last time. Parker and I switched original roles but it ended up working even better. Maria drew the majority of the storyboard and was a creative visionary as we had guessed she would be. All of these roles fit us and went smoothly. There were no issues within the group. I trust my group mates to do their part just as we all did last time. And it helps that we see each other outside of school so much. We are on the school soccer team together. This way we can always communicate in person outside of class. Because this video can't be filmed on school grounds, it helps that we see each other so much outside of school too. We also live close to each other, so we can meet up often to ensure it gets done. We can be around each other for long periods with no i

Introducing Me!

Image
My name is Siena Pancera, I am fifteen years old. I was born in south Florida and have grown up here for my whole life. Most of my family is from Brazil and I'm lucky enough to see them a lot. I go to Fort Lauderdale High school and I am currently in the tenth grade. My favorite subject to study is probably science, I like the idea of making discoveries and experiments. I also love English because I enjoy the literature portion of it. I live with my parents and my older sister Tess just left for college. I have a cat, his name is Leo and he is almost a year old. I play full time on a club soccer team outside of school. However, when the school soccer season rolls around I also play there. Its a sport I really enjoy. I met a lot of friends that way, and gained some useful habits through playing. Besides soccer, I also have a hobby of making jewelry. Even if that sounds silly, it's a part of me and something I really enjoy doing. I also love to bake and read. Both of these are
