Editing Time!

Today was our first day editing! We started by getting all of our clips together. Parker then added them to the editing platform we decided to use. Then Maria and I worked on putting the clips in the right order. After that we began cleaning up the video, so to speak. We removed all of the parts that were too long, or didn't fit with how we wanted it to be. Once that was done, the video was too long. It was around two minutes. This was just after removing the obvious parts that couldn't be in the video. Like clips that ran too long, and some mess ups. After that we dove back in, trying to really fuss over every detail. We eventually decided the beginning of our video was too long. So we went back to fix it. I suggested we made the table scene shorter. Parker cut out a few seconds of her looking upset about the test because there was too much of it. After that, it was still a little too long. Then Maria had the good idea to speed up the part where we zoomed into Parkers head to start the dream. It sounded like a great idea in our heads. However, after seeing it in real life, the video looked a little weird because of how fast it was moving. So we ended up leaving that cli how it was. After that, we cut some parts of us walking to the beach, because they weren't all necessary. This was the most grueling part of editing. After this all, we had a pretty decent rough draft of the video! Tomorrow, we will finish the video completely.
