Filming is Done!

 Today we finished filming! We got all of the clips we needed to begin editing out video. We went to the beach and ended up filming in multiple stores and different fun locations. These thought out locations contributed to our video. We had to walk around and really plan everything out. Then we began. We had to ask a stranger to film the first part. A tracking shot of Parker, Maria and I walking down the sidewalk, looking excited. Thankfully, the first take of this was good, so we didn't have to ask the person who filmed to re take it! After that Parker suggested we all got ice cream. Since our video is "The Best Day of our Lives," it seemed like a good fit. Because we were on a popular spot on the beach, there was an ice cream store waiting for us. Parker suggested that we get the rainbow ice cream, keeping up with the happy, colorful feel of our video. After that I was gifted the challenge of incorporating it into the video. It was all funny, but eventually with the right angles we got it down. After a few more clips we filmed the last scene. When Parker trips and hits her head. This was a big challenge. It was hard to to laugh. None of us are actors, so helping Parker commit to a realistic fall was difficult. We stayed at it though, coming up with ways to make it look more and more real. Eventually we perfected it and were happy with all of the clips from today. It was a very successful day of filming, and I can't wait to start editing tomorrow!
