Video is Done!

 Today was our last day of editing! It was a more specific process today. Really perfecting the clips and adding our finishing touches. We were editing a bigger portion of the video. It was still too long. About 25 seconds over the amount we needed. We decided to cut some of the parts of us dancing and playing with out friends. We agreed on this part to cut because we didn't need as much of it to get the message across. Parker set on cutting down those parts. We cut small parts of a few different clips, so it still looked even to whoever would be watching. After this whole process we went from being 25 seconds over to 15. Better, but still not perfect. So then we had to find where else to make the video shorter. We decided on the part where Parker falls and hits her head. We cut out the first few seconds of her walking over. We ended up liking this more, because it was less time consuming and made the video run smoother. After watching it a few more times we also decided to zoom in on her face as she fell, really focusing on it. This also made it easier to tell that she fell asleep, instead of just hitting her head. Then it was finally the length we needed. After the, we recorded the music over the video. This part was easy, and it only took a few minutes because the clips were already timed how we needed them to be. After this was all done, Parker saved the video from her phone and sent it to Maria and I. This video was so fun to make, and we are so excited about how the final product turned out.

  The movie  Us  (2019)   is a thriller/horror movie. This means it has conventions common for both of those genres. However, I will be focusing on the thriller genre.  Camera Angles, Movement, and shots: There were lots of long shots in this movie. They were used to set the scene and to create tension by showing the character and the setting. There were also close ups to show the terrified looks on the actors faces. This created a thrill for the audience. Two shots were also common, usually between the protagonist and antagonist fighting.  Costumes: The "bad guys" wore distinct red suits to separate themselves from the other characters.  My name is Siena Pancera, I am still 15 years old. I live in Fort Lauderdale, and still take AICE Media studies. I am a different student since our first project. When I first joined this class, I was nervous. I was unsure of if I could succeed. I also knew little to nothing about the subject. Now, I've learned so many new things about what this class can offer. I understand the concepts I am taught, and enjoy them. I've also grown in how I work on different activities in this class.
